RATL PROGRAMS

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

Restoration Atlanta’s After School Program (RATL ASP) partners with Atlanta Public Schools to provide elementary school students in under-resourced communities with a high-quality after school experience. RATL provides a safe, structured, and nurturing environment for students to learn and grow. Students receive homework assistance, Biblical programming, character development, and recreational time that allows them to learn, play, and grow outside the classroom.

SUMMER CAMP

Restoration Atlanta’s Summer Camp provides kiddos with a fun, safe environment for summer! Summer Camp lasts the duration of summer according to the Atlanta Public Schools calendar. RATL programming focuses on instilling hope in each kiddo that attends camp. Camp provides academic support, recreational games, BIble lessons, character and team building, all while providing no cost childcare in order for mothers to continue moving forward in their journey out of homelessness.

SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT

Restoration Atlanta believes that holistic restoration occurs when both physical and spiritual needs are nurtured. Our goal is to foster an environment where women and their children develop in their understanding of who God is and what his Word says. Our Director of Spiritual Development leads weekly on-site Bible Study with RATL families. During this time, women worship together and dive into the truth of Scripture. Throughout the week, women have full access to one-on-one mentorship and life coaching. RATL desires to create a space for women to experience spiritual restoration amidst their journey out of homelessness.

SUMMER STAFF

The RATL Summer Staff Program focuses on three core principles: leadership, discipleship, and service. Staff members have the unique opportunity to build relationships with RATL families through “Being With” on a daily basis. Staff members are responsible for planning and executing character development programming and creating a fun, safe environment for RATL kiddos. Staff members participate in discipleship curriculum led by RATL staff to grow in their own relationship with Jesus and develop their understanding of how to equip others to experience holistic restoration.

Our staff positions operate on a semester basis: Spring, Summer, and Fall. Paid positions and on-site housing are available on a limited basis.

TESTIMONIES

Restoration Atlanta’s “be with” approach to inner-city missions is transforming and restoring the lives of families transitioning out of homelessness and the lives of individuals who serve with RATL.

MYRA’S STORY

Myra is a former resident who went through RATL, transitioned out of homelessness, and now has a job and permanent housing. Myra will tell you that programming does not change lives, but Jesus and programming changes lives.

JULIE’S STORY

Julie and her family joined RATL for a Weekend Retreat and experienced the restoration of a RATL mission experience. Julie’s story encompasses the impact RATL is making not only for women and children transitioning out of homelessness, but the impact and restoration RATL provides to those who serve.
